Invited Schools Seminar at Balla, County Mayo – Friday 4th April 2014
Topics include Remote Sensing Techniques; LiDAR, Ground Geophysics and Kite Aerial Photography. In addition there will be a Careers Session and a Poster Competition for local national schools. The Seminar will include the Mayo launch of the ArcLand & Discovery Programme's travelling exhibition ‘Traces of the Past’, hosted by the Tóchar Valley Rural Community Network and sponsored by the Western Care Association.

Community Archaeology Weekend, Tulsk, County Roscommon – Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th April 2014
The essence of the Conference is to promote citizen archaeology, and all our talks and workshops have been designed to complement this. There will be presentations on the use of Field-walking, LiDAR, Kite Aerial Photography and Geophysics for community projects given in talks, posters, workshops and practical demonstrations.
Presenters drawn from Community Groups, Museums and Institutions based in Germany, England, Scotland and Ireland will share their expertise and experience with Community Groups who are interested in using Remote Sensing Techniques in Community Archaeology projects.
